Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog

The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is a different breed from all other bulldogs. Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs are a pure bred American dog, that were originally an offspring of southern English Bulldogs and Alapha Blue Blood cattle. Alapaha Blue bloods were recognized by the United Kennel Club in 2006 as a registry for Alapha Bluebloods. The Alapahas have been passed down through generations as working farm dogs "grandfather to father to son." Alapahas are one of the oldest breeds now recognized by the US Dog Registry. Alapaha's originated in southeast Georgia; however, they can also be found throughout Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama & Louisiana and there are some Ala in Texas and southern Tennessee. Alapaha's are strong built, stocky Bulldog with wrinkled skin and a snub nose that is solid black. Alapaha Bluebloods have a hard coat of fur that has to be hand stripped. Alapaha's have an excellent temperament, they have been known for centuries as gentle giants, which makes them very good family pets. Alapaha's were bred to help farmers work their land; therefore Alapaha's will retrieve game from the water and herd cattle between pastures. Alapaoha Bluebloods can still be found working on farms throughout the south rounding up livestock today!
