​An early Japanese breed, the Shiba Inu is a little but well-muscled dog once used as a hunter. These days, the spirited, good-natured Shiba is the most popular companion dog in Japan. The elastic Shiba is at home in town or​ country

Temperament

The Shiba has an independent nature and can Be reserved toward strangers but is loyal and affectionate to people who earn his respect. The Shiba adapts well to various living situations, but must be exercised frequently on leash or inside a safe location. Early obedience training and routine brushing are musts.
Ranging in size from 13 inches to 16 inches tall
